The BD ChloraPrep™ Scrub Teal™ 10.5 mL Skin Prep Applicator provides a sterile, single-use solution for patient preoperative skin preparation, helping reduce bacteria on the skin that may potentially cause infection.
Its antiseptic formulation combines 2% w/v chlorhexidine gluconate (CHG) with 70% v/v isopropyl alcohol (IPA) to provide rapid-acting, broad-spectrum, and persistent antimicrobial activity.
The distinctive Scrub Teal™ tint helps clinicians visualize the prepared skin area and assess application coverage. BD designed this tint to improve visibility across different skin tones, particularly darker-pigmented skin.
The 10.5 mL foam applicator supports controlled, hands-off application and covers an approximate maximum preparation area of 8.4 × 8.4 inches (457 cm²) when used according to the manufacturer's directions.
The sterile, individually packaged applicator is intended for single use. BD reports antimicrobial persistence lasting at least seven days under studied conditions.
Ordering & Packaging: Available by Box (BX/25) or Case (CS/4BX/100EA). Each box contains 25 applicators; each case contains 4 boxes, totaling 100 applicators. Minimum ordering unit is one box. Individual applicators are not sold separately.

Warnings
For external use only. Flammable. Keep away from fire or flame.
Contains alcohol and releases flammable vapors.
Do not use on patients allergic to chlorhexidine gluconate or any other ingredient in this product.
Do not use for lumbar puncture, in contact with the meninges, on open skin wounds, or as a general skin cleanser.
Keep out of eyes, ears, and mouth.
Use with care in premature infants and infants younger than two months because irritation or chemical burns may occur.
Use in a well-ventilated area.
For dry surgical sites, apply using gentle repeated back-and-forth strokes for 30 seconds. For moist sites, apply for 2 minutes, following the complete product directions.
Allow the solution to dry completely before draping or using ignition sources, including electrocautery or lasers.
Minimum drying time is 3 minutes on hairless skin. Hair may require up to 1 hour to dry.
Do not allow the solution to pool. Remove wet materials from the preparation area.
Do not blot or wipe away the solution during drying.
Discard the applicator after one use.
Allergy Alert: Chlorhexidine-containing products may cause severe allergic reactions. Stop use and obtain immediate medical attention if symptoms of an allergic reaction occur.
Storage: Store between 15–30°C (59–86°F). Avoid freezing or excessive heat above 40°C (104°F).
