BD Insyte Autoguard BC Peripheral IV Catheters with Blood Control, Straight Hub – BX/50EA are designed for peripheral vascular access with integrated blood-control and push-button safety technologies. The blood-control valve helps restrict blood flow from the catheter hub until the initial connection is made, while the shielding mechanism fully encapsulates the needle after activation.
The radiopaque BD Vialon catheter material is paired with a notched stainless-steel needle and color-coded straight hub. Available configurations range from 24G to 16G, allowing the appropriate gauge and catheter length to be selected for the intended clinical procedure.
