Product Details
McKesson Self-Sealing Sterilization Pouches provide a convenient packaging solution for medical instruments and devices requiring steam or ethylene oxide (EO) gas sterilization. Measuring 12" x 15", these pouches accommodate appropriately sized instruments and are intended for use in healthcare facilities, medical practices, dental offices, and instrument processing departments.
Each pouch features a white paper backing and a transparent blue film that allows visual inspection of the contents. The integrated self-sealing adhesive closure eliminates the need for separate autoclave tape and supports efficient package preparation before sterilization.
Internal and external Type 1 chemical process indicators provide visual confirmation of exposure to the designated sterilization process. The steam indicator changes from blue to dark, while the EO indicator changes from pink to brown. These indicators are designed to demonstrate process exposure and do not independently confirm sterility.
The pouches are manufactured with lead-free indicator ink and are not made with natural rubber latex. Their disposable construction and convenient box packaging support routine instrument sterilization workflows in medical, surgical, dental, and clinical environments.
Ordering & Packaging: Available by Box (BX/200EA), containing 200 self-sealing sterilization pouches, or by Case (CS/5BX/200EA), containing five boxes of 200 pouches, totaling 1,000 pouches. Minimum ordering unit: 1 Box. Individual pouches are not sold separately.

Warnings
FOR PROFESSIONAL INSTRUMENT STERILIZATION USE.
These pouches are supplied for sterilization packaging and are not presterilized instrument packs.
Use only with compatible steam or ethylene oxide (EO) sterilization processes as specified by the manufacturer.
Follow the sterilizer manufacturer's instructions and the healthcare facility's validated sterilization procedures.
Do not fold the pouch during preparation. Instruments should occupy no more than approximately three-quarters of the available pouch space.
Remove excess air before sealing and ensure the adhesive flap is properly closed without folds, wrinkles, or gaps.
Arrange pouches to allow proper sterilant circulation. Do not overcrowd the sterilization chamber.
Inspect the pouch after processing for dryness, package integrity, seal integrity, and appropriate chemical indicator color change.
Type 1 chemical process indicators confirm exposure to a sterilization process; indicator color change alone does not establish that the contents are sterile.
Do not use damaged, torn, wet, or improperly sealed pouches.
Store unused pouches in their original packaging in a clean, dry environment away from direct sunlight, excessive humidity, and dust.
Intended for single-use packaging. Do not reuse damaged or previously opened sterilization pouches.
Read and follow the complete McKesson Instructions for Use and applicable facility sterilization protocols.
