The RELI® design incorporates a fixed fine-gauge needle, low-dead-space unibody construction, clearly marked barrel, and transparent sliding safety shield. After injection, the shield is pushed forward and turned to engage a permanent locking mechanism; an audible click confirms activation. MYCO states that the needle is precision ground and silicone coated and that the syringe family is sterile, non-pyrogenic, and not made with natural rubber latex.
