VACUETTE® Z Serum Separator Tube 5 mL Gold Top – PK/50EA is a sterile evacuated venous blood collection tube designed for serum preparation in clinical laboratory workflows. The tube contains a silica-based clot activator and separator gel to support clot formation and serum separation following appropriate centrifugation.
During centrifugation, the separator gel moves to the serum-clot interface and forms a stable barrier between the serum and cellular components. The clear PET construction provides excellent specimen visibility while offering a durable alternative to glass. This 5 mL configuration features a gold pull cap and measures 13 × 100 mm. It is suitable for therapeutic drug monitoring as well as routine serum-based laboratory testing when used according to applicable collection and processing procedures.
